Bow hunt part 1 Setting up, Playing the wind, Knowing your limits.

First let me say I am not Pro, nor is this information gospel.  I hope it will be helpful and informative to those  who read it.
Setting up: This is pretty important because if you just walk in the day of your hunt and throw up a stand, your chances for success are very slim and they are not that great to begin with. So you need to scout out the area that you are going to hunt ahead of time. The best time to scout, in my opinion, is when the ground is wet  after a rain or when there is a heavy dew. I like to go out mid- morning  8 am to 9am then my chances of blowing out deer are slim. I am looking for established trails or routes with sign (tracks, droppings, rubs). Once I find a trail, I know deer are moving in the area. Now I am looking for somewhere 8-10 yd off the trial with lots of shooting lanes 360 degrees around your tree natural funnels, or pinch points are always good.One more thing- if you have patterned deer with a camera and a feeder through the summer, pay close attention what direction they come in and leave- this could help you early in the season. Be still

Have you ever just been still? Just sit or stand and be still, well this weekend I went on a hunting trip and spent hours just being still in a tree and this verse came to mind Psalm 46:10 " Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" As I sat there and saw deer, birds, squirrels, raccoons, and other wildlife I marveled at Gods creation and how everything has purpose. When you read this verse in context there is nothing on the face of this earth that God is not in control of and that is comforting and terrifying at the same time.
